Wordle - Quordle Thread

Yes, I looked it up afterwards although I assumed it was an Americanisation of our word but in fact our word might derive from theirs if I understood Wikipedia correctly and it is somewhat different to our product.

As regards capitals, we are using all capitals in these quizzes anyway, so it looked bad typing it out when I didn't know the true meaning and I felt quite awkward about hitting the send button!
 
I discussed the wordle word with my sister. She got it i didn't despite my second word having three green. I like @rebrascora thought depending on context it may be a racial slur. I now know it has a completely different meaning in the USA.

I’m always doing that, I always think, oh, if it wasn’t that, it must be this, because there isn’t anything else…and lo and behold, there was something else! It’s so hard not to get sucked in.

I am sure we all do it from time to time..... Well.... maybe not Rob ....just us Wordle mortals! 🙄
 
Good morning. Woke up with around, 85% improved visions after talking with a doctor and saying the problem started when they changed one of my meds. I will have to ask Which one?

Only done Wordle so far as eyes and brain triing?

The one that occasionally gets me is when going through checking for options and incorrectly assuming that the words sound the same. For example you know the word ends ORTH, and think about north and forth, but forget about worth as brain is dialled in to not think about 'wurth'.

Oh Batch, Catch, Patch, Latch etc….but then Watch always catches me out!
 
Well, I think it was a bit of a challenging set of puzzles this morning with some interesting words. I certainly felt that I had to work hard for my rather mediocre result.

Wordle in 5
Quordle 3 8 5 6 = 22
Octordle for 59

Gives me 86
 
DNF here. Ran out of chances in Quordle. Bound to happen now and then.
