Day off work today so before hitting the shops for the dreaded Christmas shopping inspiration trip (i.e. I didn't have a list and was sent to 'get some bits') thought I have a breakfast in the cafe. Woke up with a 7.9 and had my usual 16u of Levimar, then on the menu today was Bacon, sausage, egg, black pudding (yum) mushrooms, beans, white toast, and a latte. Ordered, took a seat, get out my insulin only to discover I didn't have any needles! Couldn't be bothered to drive home so thought stuff it I'll just be a bit high for the day!
Anyway, 4 hours later after wandering aimlessly around the City centre, I got a call and needed to pop to the office, thought I'd check my blood as I'd be driving about 30 minutes but fully expected to be in double figures, imagine my surprise to be at 5.9
So what brought my numbers down? I would have had 10-12 units of NR for that breakfast under normal circumstances but today none! Either the Levimar took care of it or the wandering around, or maybe I'm not even diabetic!
