What are you reading?

Finished Find Her Alive, a good read with a twist.
NOw starting Chilled by Kendra Elliott.

Finished Chilled, it was difficult to get into , but OK once I did.
Now started Buried by Kendra Elliott.

Rereading The Pelican Brief.

It confirms my opinion that Grisham's recent output isn't half as good. Seems to happen to a lot of previously great authors.

Mythos by Stephen Fry. Always loved a bit of Greek Mythology. These are not the myths I read as a child. These are like original fairy tales vs the Disney versions. Pretty gruesome and violent, enjoying the read

I agree. I was a big John Grisham fan until his last book, it was so rubbish I can’t even remember what it was called! Same with Lee Child and James Pattinson, their latest books are so formulaic. They’ve had their day and a nice juicy pay packet, they should just retire with grace.

Not read any of those authors, but have found the same with Jo Nesbro, and Ian Rankin.

Shame about Rankin, I had a lot of respect for him. I've only read one Nesbo, my mum likes his books but I wasn't impressed.

Lee Child passed the writing baton to his brother which might explain the recent drop in quality.
