I was actually asked this this morning. I wear an identity bracelet with the medic symbol on it, and have got so used to waering it i thought the person asking was having a joke with me.

She said no I'm being serious what are you alergic to. When I told her I am diabetic she wouldn't come near me like I have something catching. I handed her a diabetes UK leaflet and told her to do some homework.

I wouldn't mind but this person is in security and although her certifcate is lapsed also did first aid! Yes I am putting in a complaint about it.

im allergic to latex (nope not kidding). really have a bad time with the aftermath if someone even just touches me for a second with it.

Penicillin - ever since I was a small child I've had it drummed into me that if anyone asks me I should immediately pipe up with that, so I do!🙂

Am allergic to latex, sticky stuff on all plasters, allergic to amoxicillin and aspirin 🙂

I've had that before people see my medicalert bracelet and ask what i'm allergic to.

I'm not allergic to anything really, I am sensitive to micropore tape so don't keep it on after having a blood test, if I leave it on my skin goes red and itchy

suxamethonium, alcohol and sticky stuff on plasters. Never been asked before except by doctors

I'm allergic to latex too....and the sticky stuff on plasters. And Shiphams fish paste, carnation milk and candied fruit peel......the latter has a great effect - projectile vomit within seconds! 😱

I'd better cancel that dinner invite then, the fish paste and carnation milk risotto with candied peel embellishment wouldn't go down too well...😱:D

I'm allergic to Asprin.. 😱 and wasp / bee stings.

Nuffink. 😎

Well unless you include falling asleep quickly. :(

Prawns and shellfish! I eat them and 2 minutes later i do a great elephant man impression!

Oooh dear - that meade me feel nauseas just thinking about it!

I'm allergic to kiwi fruits..? strange I know but my lips go all red and puffy

OMG, Im surprised I havent seen the obvious one! I ask this question a thousand times a day at work and if I had a penny for every time a man thinks he is being funny and answers "the wife" (GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! do you think I have NEVER heard this one before?!) I would be on a lying on a beach in the Carribean....😉

I'm allergic to some metals, like the rivets on jeans - bring the area beneath it out in a red rash - ironically, have sometimes got round this by covering the rivet with a plaster. Also can only comfortably wear silver earrings for any length of time (pierced ears) otherwise get itchy lobes! However, don't seem to have a problem with rings (On fingers that is!)

Where do you get your medicalert bracelets from?
