Hi all,had my 3month blood results back i am now down to 45 from 54 in 3months following a low carb diet 130g per day max,and Metformin 1000mg so chuffed with that will keep trying to get it down by next test time. So thanks for all advice i have had n read .

Congratulations.
You are no longer in the diabetes range!!
To do the same, I have to keep to under 40 gm of carbs - or at least that is what I do - I was coping on 50gm but wanted to go lower - didn't happen but I was used to it by the time the next test came around.

That's a good drop - well done. Keep doing what you're doing and hopefully you're even lower next time. Onwards and downwards.
 
Well done @murf your low carb approach together with metformin is certainly working for you. Hope the trend continues downwards. Glad you are not finding it too difficult now.
