@murf, seen a few posts on the cholesterol issue and wonder if it is a consequence of moving to a low carb diet (more protein and fat?). I have this as an issue and have told the diabetes nurse I will try to address via exercise and diet. As part of the latter, I have started to take plant sterol yoghurt drink in the morning with my breakfast (main source of fat for me). I am due more blood tests at the start of June so will post to let you know if there is an improvement.
Did do some research to see if there is any real value in consuming plant sterols and from what I could see the answer was yes, but I also something that suggested that cholesterol intake from food was not as material as thought. So not sure how effective the drink really is.
