Well, got my result. Hba1c is 36. :D
Record todate
Sept 2017. 78 put on metformin
Jan 2018. 33 taken of metformin
June 2018. 36. No metformin
This is my first drug free result.
Dr. called me a superstar lol and asked if I would be willing to talk to others who are not handling it so well, of course I said yes.
So I am now sitting in Seahouses having Haddock with chips and mushy peas:D and tartare sauce, bread and butter and thoroughly loving it.
Told the doc what I intended to do and her reply was “ Enjoy them, your pancreas can handle that occasionally “.
Vince is well pleased.

Yay, Go Vince! Well deserved result after all your hard work. Enjoy your fish and chips.

Fantastic result and so glad your effort was recognised and hopefully put to good use by the Dr.

Brilliant result! Well done, that man! :D

And kudos to the doc too for being sensible 🙂

Great result, @Vince_UK ! 🙂 😎

Aww! 😛 Fish & chips and mushy peas! But, with bread & butter too? Not a combo I’d heard of! :D Is it delicious? 😛

That was really honest of you to tell your doc what you’re going to eat to celebrate! 😎 Yeah, the doc’s right, you CAN handle that occasionally! I remember your boring meeting where you munched your way through those chocolate bars & you were surprised by your lower than expected numbers! :D

Well pleased for you! 😉 :D

Well after this my lunch I have 7.4. I am not going to complain at all about that

Thanks you EVERYONE, and thanks to the members of this DUK forum for their solid excellent advice and guidance.

You did the work, @Vince_UK ! AND some of it in Shanghai! Which if anything like Hong Kong, you’re surrounded by temprations 24/7! They have the well known saying the other way round: live to eat!
