Been reading up like mad and just getting more and more confused. I have learnt that certain foods are a complete no no, i.e. pizza sends my bg through the roof and so does weetabix but shredded wheat is ok as is sugar free alpen. Just left a message for my DSN to see if there are any information courses I can go on to help me understand more. BG has not been lower than 22.1 for months and last night I dropped to 7.1 after 10 Humalog and had a symptoms similar to a hypo as my body not used to it (dsn did warn me it might happen), did scare the pants of me! Got GP appt next week and I will get my Hba1c results of her, my last one was in her words "horrific" hence the change in insulin. Found loads of good information on here, will keep reading and reading and reading. Did notice soemthing strange last night though, my 4yr old Bichon Frise 'Peanut' started acting strangely, stratching my legs frantically, and really crying, could she picked up on the sudden drop in my sugar level or is that just a myth???
