I am on metformin 2 tabs twice daily
Gliclazide 2 tabs twice daily
Alogliptin 1 tab once daily
I regularly take my blood sugars at home. They were in check, always around 5, 6 or 7, but for the last 4 months they have never been in single figures, always in the 20s first thing and can go down to 15 or 16 by lunch and then maybe if I'm lucky I get 11,10 or 9 at evening meal. I am doing nothing different. I walk every day as I have dogs and it's always at least 2 miles. I do a workout 3 times a week. I watch what I eat, am careful with carbs, could still do with losing more weight, but at 52 that's getting harder and harder it seems. I have been in touch with my doctor in desperation but 8 weeks later am still waiting for help despite the numerous calls I make. I'm so worried about neuropathy although I have just "passed" my annual check, I'm worried about retinopathy too. Any ideas of what more I can do apart from drink water and eat tissues?
