Hello fellow fighters!
Now 8 weeks since type 2 diagnosis. Thought I'd post an update, as promised.
Sticking to the low carb approach and enjoying trying new recipes.
Lost 12lbs in total, and 2 inches off my waist.
Have more energy and feel better than I can remember.
BS fingerprick tests are typically 7.5 to 8 first thing, 6.5 to 7 the rest of the day.
I'm confident that my Hba1c in Jan will show an improvement.
Had a diabetic education session at my local hospital and the dietitian thought I was making excellent progress in BS readings, weight loss etc. She advocated the low carb, healthy fats approach which I've been doing.
Massive thank you to everyone on here for your support and advice. You're all smashing.
Now for my silly question! In the last 2 weeks, the white coating on my tongue which I've had for 9 years, has disappeared. I assume this is due to my new diet and is a positive sign. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this?
