Not much I can say or do Steff but wish you all the best and that with your sister's support and the counselling you'll be back to your old positive self soon.
Thank you so much xHi Steffi, I'm a bit new on here but I can sympathise with you. Whenever I have felt down I found walking out in the fresh air helped. Glad you are getting help from your doctor, perhaps you have been strong for too long. Give yourself a break. Here we all are,for you.
Jackie your constant support to me and others on here is a testament to the lady you are I hope truly one day we meet . Thank you very much for every single time you have perked me up xOh Steff, tears in my eyes when I read your emotional plea and so utterly sorry to learn you find yourself in that black bottomless pit again - I empathise totally and wholeheartedly with you and so glad you found the courage to *open up* & express your feelings to'your GP - and to us for which I thank you. I know this couldn't have been easy for you but you are on the first rung now toward your recovery and to a better place.
There is no shame attached to accepting professional Counselling by any means - it is the right way forward for you to mend and heal yourself - but it will take time so please try to be patient. Your family and especially your son will be the reminder for you to repair yourself - but having said this, there is no pressure upon yourself whatsoever.
Both depression & anxiety is all too common and can frequently drag a person down to unknown depths - dark depths - but together with professional Counselling you WILL overcome your troubles as & when your mind is ready to accept & deal with them, so please dont despair hun. Rome wasn't built in a day.
I'm thinking of you with my arms virtually around your shoulders to comfort you. No judging - no criticism - stay strong & remember Steff, you are not alone - for you are surrounded by supportive friends {{{{{huge hugs}}}}} and xxxx's.
