I've had a chat with my DSN today and we've looked at everything and it seems that Northerner's first reply was correct, it's down to the gastroparesis, the liquid is simply sitting in my stomach and doing nothing. I have a lot to learn about gastroparesis it seems, haven't been told anything about it other than to take the pills. I have bought some fruit jelly sweets today and will try to go with that and always have glucotabs on me, see how it responds. HbA1c gone up again too, 7.3 now.
All-in-all I feel a bit down about everything at the moment, it's like fighting a losing battle.
Hi Newbs,
sorry to say I haven't kept up with everyones problems as plenty going on with my family at the moment.
If the gastroparesis is the cause of your problems, perhaps try some liquid glucose. It can be found in the cake dept in most supermarkets. Comes in a tube and just desolves in your mouth so no extra strain on your tummy. Tastes just fine as well 🙂 Carbs are about 4 per teaspoon.
