Remember the soup dragon in the Clangers?
I eat or drink (depending on your point of view:D) lots of soup. It suits my weird constitution. I need to bolus for food at least 30 minutes before eating, sometimes up to 90 minutes😱. As you can imagine this is not always easy, especially for me on Wed evenings when I come home late from a day of running my pottery classes. I want something quick and low carb.
New Covent Garden Skinny Goan Spiced Chicken and Lentils - seems to be the answer for me. Three times now (consistency 😱🙂) I've consumed the whole pack (piggy I know,but...😛) about 5 minutes after bolusing and my bg has risen slowly and very little. I think I may become addicted.
Sadly not all lentils seem to have this effect. M & S spicy lentil sends me into the stratosphere😱:(.

Good news Susan - quick go to and no penalties = brilliant!😎

Not tried that one yet, will look out for it. I love soup too.

Ages ago on the TV did you see a programme where they divided soldiers into two groups. One group they fed roast chicken and veg and the other group they fed soup made of exactly the same ingredients. The soup group felt fuller longer. Moral being: eat/drink loads of soup🙂

Me and the dragon are related - I would happily eat soup every day Susan but Pete - though being able to communicate to this day in Clanger-ese (which means nowt to the kids these days, but the adults like it LOL) - is not a big fan at all.

It's great you found something you can stomach. (Sorry - Not)

I loved the Clangers and I'm a real soup aficianado. It's a cultural thing, up here soup has always been an economical way of making the most of whatever ingredients you have to hand, including leftovers. Just chick it in soups can be an adventure, but often taste great and none of them seem to cause me BG trouble. It's a great way to use my slow cooker too.

I rarely buy pre-prepared soup, but when I do it's usually Covent Garden, I like them.
