Happy to share my mojo with you @mikeydt1. Just given some to the diabetes fairy to bring over to you.

Hang on, maybe that was not a good idea!

Might not have been, esp with Northerner not being well just at the mo @Docb - though she has been visiting Gary and getting up to her usual mischief very recently.

still at a grinding halt no certificates turns out post is at least 3 days behind. only found out after talking with the postman yesterday they are swamped with people ordering parcels said he had a van load, guilty here as well.

got the certificates so some more paperwork now sent off that is to deal with the roof over my head only waited 2 weeks for them to come. no doubt a bill will come for the rent and why on a weekend?

after the roof over my head has been sorted then all that is left is finances and that is about it. everything is so hard because those doing stuff are working from home.

Sorry to hear you’ve had additional stresses and delays because of late post @mikeydt1

There is such a lot of admin to wade through after a death, and just when it’s really the last thing you have energy for. :(

Glad you have the certificates though. Hopefully that will help you get through another few stages.

mike when the post came i honestly thought to god someone had sent a giant birthday card from the council and was shocked to find the death certificates were a4 size my dads wasn't that as i have a copy. luckily i do have a machine what can scan them and i can shrink them down which will be the case when i get around to finance side of things and i do have large envelopes.

it was just the size what amused me, at least now i can move forwards with sorting the property out as it was 50 50 tenancy and it is changing to soul tenancy. during the next few weeks i can have a battle with the beast of the printer scanner all ways seems to have a mind of its own.

You may be able to just photograph it on your smartphone if your scanner is playing up.

Having said that I had to show or send the original to most places when sorting out Jane’s stuff.

think it might be better to send direct much easier then the have a proper document.

well from joint tenants i am the sole single tenant officially. i knew there would be a spanner in the works seems that before my partner passed the rental charging was correct but since the passing the rent charging is at different rates each week i mean eh! accountants with no maths by the look of the snippet. the accounting was so bad that they were only charging me and get this a mere £54 a week for a 2 bed house now what can i say and wouldn't it be good if you could in these days get a 2 bed house for that price. talk about walleys

How the hell is anyone supposed to budget properly if they don't know from one week to the next what they have to pay?

and there is me telling them to take any excess from the DD i had with them then it turns out they didn't even know how much the rent was seriously can't make it up. guess the computer must of got upset after all these years of been used to 50 50 then to single. they will blame it on the system.

well with all what has been going on since the passing have found my long lost neices after 30 off years and have just found a great cousin or even great great cousin. also discovered i am have a great neice and great nephew boy i feel old but not really.

today managed to do some finace stuff thought it would be easy went through details with lass on the phone who was very nice and polite got talking about the passing of my partner and at the end had tears in my eyes. i thought this would of been easy but found it so hard to do and when finished i appologised to the lady about getting upset and we then finished the call, now waiting for a form to come through the post. i could of downloaded it but my poxy printer has something about black and white documents sure when i bought the thing there must of been some fault getting close to hammer time but not yet as i need it to scan the form then i can do some finance uploading.

some of the form is easy to understand but some i have not seen before so will ring the finance team as i need to get this form filled in properly so it is not sent back.

update i have changed all the utilities in to my name. the finance side is nearly done and a transfer is been carried out to tie me over for a good few years. still some things are still dragging out though like no resolvent to that letter the hospital sent after the death and also rent on the property now you would of thought that the council would know what the rent amount should be. daft email i got last week 'we will try again next'!

still i am slowly getting there.

Slow but sure. I'm surprised at your council, they are usually on the ball with the rents!
