good to read your getting some exercise @MikeyBikey, you’ve been through a lot recently, sending best wishes for a speedy recoveryHere, in hospital, I have exercise bands attached to attached to both sides of the bed. It allows me to do a vast range of exercises to work different parts of the arm and the wrist. I used to use them to exercise my remaining leg but stopped when I was told to avoid stressing the foot because of comprised circulation. Any decent outlet should let you try a few to find what suits you. It is the same for weights - you have to go with what suits you. When I did cardio rehab at the end of eight weeks some people were using 500gm weights but two of us went with 4kg - a very large difference which emphasises how personal these things are.
If you have access to a gym, then I hugely, strongly, without equivocation, recommend the StrongLifts programme. My watch can recommend some strength/resistance training so was looking in a local sports shop for some weights. #baffled
Can anyone recommend what size weights or how I can work out what I should get?
Thanks
Hi @Chris Hobson,Where do you live? I live in East Yorkshire and have a pretty comprehensive selection of weight training equipment available free if you can collect it. You don't have to take all of it, you can just pick what you need. Alternatively I could meet you half way if it's not too far.
