Unless you have to big a spare tyre like me![]()
Pork Scratchings are about the only thing I can eat without insulin! They are practically carb free! Go on, enjoy them!Nice and cheap!🙂 I hate are butcher he makes his own pork scratching ....and there in HUGE bags!!! I just want them but I just look and drool! 🙄
Beware those, read the packet before eating, some have wheat in them and they WILL raise BGs. I found out the hard way.you can buy pork scratchings that are not hard at all they have been blown up in size and are very fluffy and not hard at all, they sell them in asda, my in-laws love them as they cannot eat the normal ones as they are to hard
My emergency thing to snack on at the moment is the magnificent Peperami!
Watch out that some brands of nuts contain more salt then scratchings, also that the plain salted nuts usually have less salt then some of the flavoured types.Pork scratchings, pepperami and matjes herrings are all very high in salt folks! Everyone should be keeping their salt intake below 6g per day, and it's especially important for people with diabetes to protect kidneys.
