Hi good folks!
I have been prescribed Sertraline while various tests are made to find out what's causing a whole slew of other problems and I read in the leaflet that it can affect blood glucose levels in diabetic patients. It didn't say how it affected, though after being on for just three days my blood sugars soar after a meal. I have been adjusting my bolus to try and compensate and they are returning to somewhere near normal before the next meal, but I am being alarmed at seeing double figures, especially since this mini-heat wave we're having now where usually my numbers drop alarmingly. (past three days it's reached 27.8 in my non-air-conditioned office).
I was just wondering if anyone else has had experience of this medication and how it affected them.
Ta very much
Jim 🙂
