It's possible to get a pharmacy to look after ordering repeats for you. Once set up, all you have to do is get the prescrition, once fill by the pharmacy.

Do you have online ordering access from you GP, mine I order the prescription and it is sent electronically to my preferred Pharmacy.

I do. Had it for a while. It's something I had to arrange through the practice. Then wait for it to come through. If I remember correctly, it's one of the things you had to go in personally to ask for.

I think there'll a number of people who hadn't got it set up before all this. For those that don't, or are trying to sort it, I though the pharmasist was another option.

I'm unable to get them delivered though. :(

Thanks for the tip @Ralph-YK

Like @grovesy, Ive been using online ordering for years, and just wait 2-3 days before popping to my nominated pharmacy to collect.

I've heard of a local initiative that is pairing volunteer joggers with those who need medications/prescriptions but are trying not to leave the house. They are calling themselves the new ‘drug runners’ and it’s based on ‘this mum runs’ I think.

The runner just runs to the pharmacy, collects the prescription, runs to the person’s house, drops it outside the door and then runs back home again 🙂

Same here. I have no access to any of my records at all.

I had to request access to my medical records and results from my surgery, and they ‘unlocked’ that area of the website for me.

Hi. When all of this settles down do ask your surgery for access to your records and test results. For Systemonline there are two levels and you need both to see detailed test results. You only need standard access to order prescriptions.

Not all surgeries are allowing patients access to test results, even with Systemonline.

Ours does, using Patient Access. Unfortunately blood tests taken the hospital do not appear which is a bit of a blow.

Our surgery has a notice on the door explaining how to access the online service without the need to fill in form in person - specifically for the current situation, If I remember correctly it was a NHS app. Our pharmacy is under the surgery so all people collecting prescriptions would see it.

As with everything else there are different on line GP systems. I don't if they are chosen at CCG level, or on individual practice level.
CCG I belive.
3 of the hospitals I deal, along with GP, with are on the same system. They can all access the same records. GP can see things from the hospitals. The fourth is in another CCG are, and uses a different system. 4th cannot access the records from the others.

My GP practice has had notices about a NHS app for a few months. Recorded mesage also mentiones it on their phone line.
I've not used it, and don't know sign up procedure.
Reviews on Google Play aren't good. And I had online account already.

I have seen bad reviews being posted to the Facebook page too. Other than no being able to get my test results, I am happy with the system for ordering my prescriptions.

For the isolated customer with a Pay-As-You-Go ✻SIM CARD✻ ..with nowt Internet Allowance left ..and all the telecom stores shut ..the talk about 'online support' is largely academic.
