Hi all, I can post this here because i know you understand what this means. 5 years ago at my annual diabetic eye review i was given the news that i had diabetic background retinopathy.. I was so scared i would lose my sight!
I Just got the results from this years one and no traces of any kind of retinopathy! It's gone! i have the all clear!

I have managed over the last few years to really stabilise my BG. My highs don't go as high and my lows don't go as low. If i do bounce the swings aren't so wild and out of control and my middle ground is between 2 much stricter lines. Hba1c is much improved etc. The only thing i can really put this down to is a couple of years on a libre then switching to a dexcom. I am so insulin sensitive its always been really difficult to stabilize. Ratios of 1-20 and 1-18 and tiny basal rate variations on the pump and being able to make changes using the cgm data. I was tagged a brittle diabetic years ago because of wild fluctuations in bg. This is a huge achievement for me!! And my eyes! 😎
