Does anyone have any idea of how accurate the carbs on the packaging is.I find I need to almost double my insulin dose for what packing says
But what was your BG after 4 hours? If it returned to a reasonable level by then, it could be a question of the timing of the dose, not the amount? The high carb content of a pasta ready meal would certainly cause me to spike quite high, before the insulin got to work and lowered my BG again, unless I injected in advance of eating, (anywhere up to 30 minutes before in my case)Thank you .Ready meals are not part of my regular diet but as a break from cooking now and again ,but I have found with one I had last week pasta based I looked at the carbs listed and added a couple of units for a half portion only to find my b.g had gone up to 15.6 in two hours. My control is normally good I’ve been a type 1 for almost 50 years, and dose by carb counting for about 14 years
