This test was private but the lab is NHS or contacted by the NHS so I no concern over reliability.
GP test results November 16th 2020 were 125 mmol/mol
Private test results February 19th 2021 were 42 mmol/mol
Back in November I changed my diet straight away and tested like mad and soon got into a rhythm thanks to you lot and all the help information here. Early Feb I started working out on my treadmill but in a controlled way not going mad like I have done in the past so I now monitor my HR with a chest strap and my smart watch logs all the stats onto my phone so I have full control of what I'm doing.
Food has been the biggest eye opener for me as in the past it has just been Cal based not carbs so diets were just hell, now I eat amazingly well and now I have mastered Keto bread from scratch using my bread maker I really enjoy my food more than ever, I feel full for much longer so no more diets just a few changes for the rest of my days, this way of thinking takes so much pressure off me, I can eat great food without feeling constantly deprived.
I am so pleased with this reading my weight is coming down at a sensible speed so no disappointments mood is better. I am also aware that things will change over time and will always have diabetes but I am controlling it, it is not controlling me at this time.
Will post GP's HbA1c results mid March but I'm confident the results will match maybe even lower by then, Im well chuffed.
Mark 🙂
