I have always had porridge for breakfast and when testing my blood sugar it returned approx 6. I was happy with that and I stopped testing. However, i have been experimenting and adding lots of other stuff to the mix, nuts, seeds etc. Today I had a little more time and decided to test and this returned 8.1 , clearly a bit over carby for me. . My posting this is not because I am overly concerned but it shows how important these little machines are in keeping an eye on stuff. To think the GP responsible for diabetics in the clinic told me not to test... huh? What does she know...
