Hi guys,
Today I'm back into a more normal routine after a couple of days of being unhealthy.
As a huge treat last night, hubby and I had a Dominos pizza. It was delicious, and I worked out the carbs correctly and bolused for the correct amount (I'm on Humalog/Lantus)
My BG went up to 13 after dinner, I took a correction and two hours later it was 12. Another correction and it was 11. At this stage, I was going to bed, so I didn't want to take any further corrections and risk a nighttime hypo. I woke in the night from a nightmare😱 so I thought I'd test whilst I was awake and it was 6.8 with a fasting of 7.9 this morning.
I don't plan to have pizza very often, but I was wondering if you guys have any tips for avoiding such long spikes of high BG?
Sorry for the essay!thanks all x
