What you haven't taken into account is the high protein, protein eaten on it's own tends to cause blood sugar hikes anything from 4 - 6 hours after eating it. 🙂2oz of salted peanuts is about 6 carbs.
The quantity is key to managing them.
I haven't had a problem with them. Eaten as a snack mid Sunday afternoon and bloods late evening have been fine.
Maybe this is just horses for courses.
I got that the wrong way round then! 😱 🙄Cashews are the highest carb ones. Brazil nuts are the lowest with Macadamia nuts coming in a close second.
I love Brazils. My husband always has a couple squares of milk choc as a treat, when I have my 90% dark. If I really fancy some of his milk choc, I have it with Brazils to slow the sugar intake down, and nibble a bit from each in turn. Instant Chocolate Brazils!Cashews are the highest carb ones. Mine used to insist my name was 'Comettve'. I'm sorry, that's not a word in any language. My Samsung phone autocorrect is awful! Damn thing invents words!
