In general not if everything else in fine. However in one of the articles I read they recommended a Doppler test in addition to checking pulses as the latter can be quite subjective with some medical staff reporting good pulses when in fact the Doppler show a noticeable fall off in circulation. Personally I would think a Doppler should be carried out every two or three years when there is no problem and more frequently if there is. I was told my pulses were fine but had a Doppler carried out by my podiatrist which showed a drop off of over 20%. It is checked yearly now.
