Today is the day i have decided to stop eating bread which i love, i hope i can as it is my downfall.

Try Burgen Soya & Linseed Bread, 4g per slice. It was recommended to me on here and its not bad once you get used to it. Still have it sparingly but it is a decent alternative if you crave a sandwich

Hi. If you have a Lidl nearby, you could try there protein rolls.

Burgen Soya and Linseed bread isn't 4g - it's 11g a slice! Packets clearly say that.

Tesco do an own brand protein loaf which is OK for me @ 10g carb per slice.

I've had to give it up too. I can eat half a Warburton's small toastie in one go! 😱

I've seen quite a few people on here mention them. are they any good and do you know the carb content also are they packeted or in the fresh bakery bit - sorry for throwing all these questions at you x

I've eaten the Lidl rolls, got 'em from their 'in-house' bakery a while back ...they're quite 'heavy' going (you certainly know you've been chewing). Each roll has about 10g of Carb. Reasonably tasty I suppose. Someone at work said that if you microwave them for around a minute, they make the eating a little bit easier.

Found loose in the fresh bakery baskets. Triangular shape with lots of bits on and they're quite heavy. Very filling and in my opinion better toasted

Seriously only 9g per roll wow will have to give them a go, did you get the information of their website as looking for more loose rolls information too, thanks 🙂 x

www.andrex.co.uk will give you more info on ...sorry...I thought you said Loo Rolls :D

I have never been all that keen on bread myself - there are so many more interesting things to eat aren't there? Spuds I feel the same about unless they are either lovely fresh new spuds or roasties.

Unless, that is, the bread is freshly baked and preferably full of holes, with the sort of crust that just disintegrates! - crunches up, not chewed.

Lidl rolls are lovely. They freeze really well too. I usually buy 2 weeks worth whenever I go in there. If im going out to eat and fancy a burger I can take one along with me to use as a bun (either the pub we go to or the brewery that do food have both said its fine)
