Guess who's due to get a Novopen Echo? 🙂
Its the only half unit pen now so I am waiting on a prescription for this, difficult to get hold of since its only just come out.
The how many/since when digital feature is pretty nifty, personally not something that I need but useful anyway. I actually got to meet with the rep to show me how it works and everything, I haven't had a cartridge pen so was a bit worried but seems to be straight forward. I joke that the Echo has been made for me because my initials are ECH
Excited to start using half doses, i'm having afternoon troubles at the moment. 3u and it sends me low by 5ish even if I snack. Is it possible to have a delayed first phase insulin response? This would make sense otherwise as it takes 5hrs for it to come down, say if I eat around 10 then that means my injected insulin works on that, then my own seems to set off at like 3ish?!
Went to a concert last night (Florence and the Machine! Absolutely amazing!!!!!) and went out to eat at Nandos ~2pm, only took 2u and had chips too but I ended up being at 4.7 whilst on our way ~post 2hrs meal, i did buy some cereal bars but then discovered they had oats in so couldn't eat them. Crisps won in the end! Strange pancreas workings...
