HbA1C is up from 48 to 70 in a few months. Taken off jardiance as endless urine infections in the interim.
Welcome to the forum
@Anergates
Sorry to hear your HbA1c has risen and that you didn’t get on with some of the meds you were offered.
Shredded wheat with a few blueberries or similar. Toastie of some sort with "not white bread" (sourdough if we can afford it!).
Some sort of stew or curry, meat 2 veg (not potatoes usually), noodles with stirfried chicken, salad with ham cheese.
Sounds pretty good. And great to hear that you have a BG meter. This is a really powerful way to fine tune your menu, rather than just relying on a foods reputation, or even the suggestions of other members here (everyone has a different approach to managing their diabetes).
By taking a BG reading immediately before eating and again 2hrs later you will be able to see the ‘meal rise’ from different sources of carbs. And if your are anything like me and many meals are pretty standard, you’ll soon be able to see which are the combinations and portion sizes that cause the biggest rises in your glucose levels.
Ideally you would want to aim for a meal rise of around 2-3mmol above where you started.
Not seeing readings above 10.0mmol/L is great too! Hopefully by tweaking that down a little to more like an 8.5mmol/L maximum for as much of the time as you can manage will see your HbA1c reduce back towards the 48 you used to be at

you, and gives you the results you are looking for. You’ll have to forgive members for their enthusiasm for their own methods - but diabetes is a very individual thing, and you have to work out your own approach really
