Well I know I have said this before, but I should market this Low Carb eating as a beauty aid for sure.
Skin benefits to date after 4 months:-

Dry Scalp - Gone.
Hair feels healthier although I an starting to "thin out" a little🙄 but just a little.
Skin tags on my neck from my neck chain which I usually had taken off regularly, vanity, and have had for years - Gone without my intervention.
White patches under skin on face - Gone.
Dry skin on elbows - Gone.
Dry skin on knuckles - Gone.
Dry knees - Gone.
Dry and rough skin on feet which I use to take off with an angle grinder - Gone.
Skin feels softer, oilier and is considerably smoother.
I can only put this down to the low carb diet, long may it reign.
On top of these my creaking knees have vanished because of the weight loss.
That's terrific Vince! You really are a new man, even if you are half the man you used to be! (In the nicest possible way, of course! 😉)

Hi Vincent.
So pleased for you that your skin is better, along with your blood sugar and general health. Just wanted to share with you that my experience has been the exact opposite! Before diagnosis, 3 months ago, my skin was smooth, clear and radiant. Since diagnosis, as my blood sugar was coming down, my skin has been dry, flaky, itchy and I've erupted in acne on my face, chest and upper back. Not what you expect at 45!!!! It is slowly clearing up on its own now. I'm assuming it's just my body's response to my change of diet. Not a problem, just interesting that our 2 experiences are so different!

I think Adele it is just our bodies adjusting and it takes time. I eat a lot of oily fish and I am sure that has contributed.
Coincidentally, about 2 weeks into low carb had a terrifying experince. One Monday I was sitting at my place in Shanghai and my legs started to tingle and tingle badly.
Scared the living daylights out of me with all sorts of thoughts going on through in my head. It ws really unpleasant.
It stopped after about 5 hours.
I did some research on this site and discovered that it is our way of our bodies adjusting to low or no sugar.
It only ever happened once but it was intense.
I am convinced from that point my body started to change andthings improved.

Absolutely Vincent. I've had some shaky moments as my blood sugar was coming down. It's only in the last couple of weeks that I feel OK when my bs gets down into the 5s range before meals!!! I've always eaten a lot of oily fish and I think that definitely helps your skin! Feeling so much better generally that I don't mind about a couple of pimples!!! :D
