Think I may have made a mistake I'm so sick of looking at food labels.

Tried Greek yoghurt and I didn't like it in the slightest so thought I'd try skyr and found these which have just come out.

Seems to me though to be a lot of carbs I'm guessing from the granola though not the yoghurt?

I really want a flavoured yoghurt if I'm honest.

The carb content is 12.2g per 100g and sugars are 9.4g per 100g is this a lot?

Ive tried discussing these things with a nurse but at the moment they basically just say look at the Internet but you can literally count out every food going depending what source you are reading.

Any help?

Thanks

Thanks for the replies and maybe putting fruit in natural flavour is the way forward. Thanks for the links Kaylz it was that skyr that I had recommended to me I'll have to try and find some of that and see how my body reacts to it. Thank you

Sometimes I make savoury yogurt - natural yogurt with the usual salad veg cut up fairly small, including blanched green beans, broccoli & cauliflower
Leave out the tomato or add it right at the last moment as it tends to go soggy

I love Skyr 😎

There are different kinds. You mentioned ‘carbs from the granola’ - did you choose a ‘breakfast’ Oaty one rather than the one with just Skyr and fruit? That would make a difference carb-wise.

Of the fruit ones, I love the Nordic Berries one and the Sour Cherry. They do have some sugar but less than normal fruit yoghurts. They’re also low fat and higher protein.

I did try one of the diet Skyr pots but I wasn’t so keen at all. However, if you want to minimise carbs, they’d be better. There’s also a Natural Skyr which has 4g carbs per 100g.

I like the sound of @Anitram ’s home made version. Some members have used frozen berries for convenience which defrost in the yoghurt I think?
