OK, don't all boo me, I know how lucky I am! 🙂

I want one of the testing machines you've got!!!!!
What is it again, might have to see if I can sweet talk my gp!!!! Do a bit of eye lash bashing x
He has got two machines and only records the best results🙂 I didn't like all the colours mine gave, so I've stopped using it and went back to my spreadsheet, whick gives better information.
Wish I could keep within my agreed range and I've got a Diabetic Review this week with a new Practice Nurse - could be fun!!

I'm sure you work hard to achieve those levels so don't be quite so modest Mr Perfect!![]()
So Alison are you saying that the Contour USB calculates your doses the same way the Insulinx does? The only real differences between the two are the size (Insulinx is a bit of a brick) and the screen on the Next USB which is easier to read in poor light. Oh yes, no cables required for the Next USB.

I like the way everyone seems to be implying that it's all down to your snazzy meter and not your own hard work!. Great results 🙂. (Jealous of course....)
Helen, if you get in touch with Lifescan you will find the OneTouch Ultra Smart is no longer made and they should replace it with a snazzy OneTouch Verio IQ. This is rechargable via USB and is nice and bright and colourful. The software is downloadable from Lifescan and works on Windows 8.Thanks, I think that meter might be the one to go for. I use a one touch ultra smart now and that doesn't allow extra blood without an error.
I'll have to look into the computer side. I've never been able to download my One Touch to my laptop with Vista but it works on OHs computer (ancient and gradually updated from windows 98 to XP) My new laptop has Windows 8.; and I don't really understand the differences other than visual and frustration factors. If It were up to me I'd use Risc Os but that's another story.
My (self determined) preprandial targetis a bit lower than yours; max 6mmol/l . My post meal is about the same but have to admit missing lots of those 2 hour tests nowadays.
