Have been having these after meals & even sometimes on their own. They’re definitely less sweet tasting as the less sugar hasn’t been replaced/supplemented with sweeteners which I REALLY like!😛 I don’t like eating things with sweeteners & do my best to read ingredients labels of everything to avoid them: confuse the brain into eating more to make up the missing calories; expecting a certain amount of calories from how sweet things are!o_O

The Angel slices are JUST about sweet enough, for me, & not too bad on my blood sugar levels: if in range no extra insulin for a slice or two after dinner; needs some insulin if eating them on their own with a cuppa! 😛

The Chocolate slices are about the same impact on blood sugar & insulin levels but, JUST a teeny weeny bit of a hint of bitterness so, I like them less than the Angel slices.🙂

They’re both quite nice for every day, if you want, eating that’s not too bad on my blood sugar levels as they’re not very sweet but, if like me most cakes etc are TOO sweet for me, that’s fine by me! 😛:D

If Mr Kipling did a few more of their range with reduced sugar & no sweeteners that taste less sweet I’ll give them a go too? 🙄

At over 50 percent carb they are not going to be on my menu.

Have a look on line at the kipling reduced sugar range on line it will give you an idea as to what is available. Glad you enjoyed your treat. 🙂

There's always one that's got to put a downer comment on someone else's enjoyment 🙄

I however am glad you enjoyed it Lanny, they do the lemon slices in reduced sugar as well as far as I'm aware xx

Have to look out for them Lanny mate, dont mind Kipling cakes.
Have a look in the cake section of supermarket, I did see a selection in Morrisons awhile back.

Ah - I missed that you are using insulin - sorry.

It shouldn't matter whether someone is on insulin or not, if they fancy a wee treat once in a while then that's their choice and they shouldn't be made to feel about 2ft tall because of it, do you even realise the impact some of your comments could have on people? Your way isn't the only way

Also Lanny referenced the use of insulin twice in the OP which leads me to believe you didn't even read it, you saw something with what in your mind is high carbs and jumped straight in

Very well said.

Glad you enjoyed them @Lanny

Nice to have a little of what you fancy every now and then… and if they don’t mess with your BG too much then even better :D
