Hi,
So it has been a week since I took my first Mounjaro shot.
It’s been… well, kind of underwhelming to be honest! I’ve had no change in appetite and no noticeable symptoms other than feeling off-colour and tired on Wednesday. Weight wise - I keep losing and gaining the same pound.
I’ve stuck to my food regime and have made decent progress at the gym. I feel like I’m getting a little stronger and my endurance is improving. I generally feel slightly less sluggish - but I put that down to diet and exercise rather than the jab.
I think that people react to the jab at different rates, with some people having that immediate effect and big weight loss. I appear to be in the camp where things are going to be a little slower. So be it. I just need to have patience and trust the process.
It is a little frustrating that the scales aren’t showing the results when I think they should be. But, my body is going through a lot of change. I guess it’s in that strange mode where it tries to hang on to the fat in case there is a famine. I guess the first 20 lbs came off quickly, so it’s triggered this reaction. I just need to keep at it until things start shifting again.
Patient and consistency are key. I will keep pushing forwards.
