Yesterday I helped a friend with some things with his laptop. On the table there were some bitter chocolate sweets like these:

And when talking I started eating one, then another, then another... I don't remember the number we ate, but I suppose that they weren't only two or three...

This is the problem of mindless eating - I am a bit concerned with the calories and the carbs I ate without thinking about it.
Then I think I am more aware of what I'm eating, that is a good thing, but maybe I am a bit too aware...

I've calculated that even if you'd eaten half the bar (which has a total of 68.4 carbs), you'd have consumed 34.2 grams of carb. Ok it was a bad idea and empty calories but easy to do when we are distracted, but don't beat yourself up. There's 30 grams of carb in 2 slices of wholemeal bread! Interesting to see moisture listed in a product. Never seen that before (unless they just mean water content).

It does make me aware of just how much I must have been stuffing down my face previously before I realised the carb content so I know what you mean!

Could have been a lot worse, at least those are light. Imagine if you'd eaten half a pack of chocolate hobnobs, which I have been known to do when in binge mode.

We all slip sometimes. Don't beat yourself up about it.

Thank you for the answers!
I know that slip ups could happen and nobody is perfect, I had to tell someone.
And by the way our modern lifestyles makes really easy to eat a lot of calories in a moment. Thkink about drinking a Coke with them, and don't realize the sugar load, maybe after a dinner....
