Hi, I'd recommend having a read of Test,Review, Adjust by Alan S to understand the most efficient and effective approach to testing 🙂 It's all about finding out how different foods affect you, and this can be a very individual thing. I would also recommend getting copies of The GL Diet for Dummies, which is a very good introduction to the 'Glycaemic Load' approach to selecting and combining foods so that they have a slow, steady impact on blood glucose levels, and also the excellent Type 2 Diabetes: The First Year by Gretchen Becker, which can be a big help in understanding what to expect in these early weeks and months 🙂hi, can anyone recommend the best meter to buy, my his and is newly diagnosed as type 2 so we're guessing the doctor won't give him one. Also when is the best time to test to see what his levels are doing and how he is reacting to food? Thanks
