Since being diagnosed T2D, my be tired has not improved.
Now, no matter what or when I eat, the nutritional content or quantity, I immediately get drowsy.
Any ideas?

Hi Richard

Quite likely because you BG is running higher than it should be - and of course usually goes up more when you eat - if you haven't changed your diet to cut down on carbohydrate overall.

Do you test your own BG with a 'fingerprick' meter?

I hate it when that pall of tiredness descends. I have to nap or can't carry on. It ruins my day. :( I can sympathise. Hopefully once we're on top of our eating/drinking this tiredness will go away with any luck.

Hi @richardhuckle . It does sound like your blood glucose (BG)level is high and going even higher after eating.
Do you test your BG levels before then two hours afterwards to see how various food affects you or like many T2s have you been wrongly in our opinion told it's not necessary.

I guess I need to rethink my self care skills.
Hi Richard...difficult to answer that question without knowing what your 'routine' is...with so little information to go on...why not tell us a little more about yourself...that would make it easier for members to offer the right advice/suggestions.
