It looks as if my Dr is preparing to refuse me a repeat prescription for Accu-Chek multi clix lancets. Have just collected my tablet script and there is a note for me to see Dr. The receptionist informs me "There has been a change in the guidelines".
Please can you give me all the ammunition I need to persuade them to continue.
Although diagosed last April until October I was just on Metformin - initially One 1000mg and then two. Blood glucose increased so given one 30mg Diamicron (a glicazide) a meter, strips and told to test twice daily. First reading 26.3!!!! On review end of November told to increase to 2 tablets then if not down to 4 fasting level increase to 3.
Due to holiday in December when levels went to high teens did not increase to 3 until home. Last night had lowest ever night time of 8.0 and this am 7.9. Obviously I am not yet stabilised. Also the hospital clinic gave me the go ahead to start at the gym once in single figures - but I will need to test after to see the affect.
