Yea thats really good! if you think about it, had you started on a lower level say 5 (thats not to say starting on 6.8 isnt good of course 🙂), you would have only risen to 7.6 so well done 🙂
When I saw my consultant a while back and discussed postprandial, he said that it was only if the one hour post postprandial was greater then +3 and was above 8 mmol/L that he would be concerned.
So that is less then +3, which according to my consultants definition is OK for a diabetic.
The starting 6.8 is something you will want to work on, but as you get closer to the "ideal" weight it's pretty likely that will start to come down. That might just need a bit more time.
