I have no issue with going barefoot.
My feet are " normal".
I treat them as such.

Ooooo nasty! I bet that was painful Carolg. I won't walk on a beach or go in the sea without wearing my beach shoes. On holiday a few years ago, my grandson stood on a sea anemone. Had to get 13 spine things removed, I was glad I had these beach shoe things
He was really brave, but had to get them cut outOoooo nasty! I bet that was painful Carolg. I won't walk on a beach or go in the sea without wearing my beach shoes.

I love walking barefoot too, nothing better than feeling the dew on the grass in the morning or sand under my feet on the way to the sea. I have no trouble healing and like @stephknits have great feeling. So for now will walk barefoot very happily.I love walking barefoot, so am afraid ignore the advice at the mo. I don't seem to have any trouble healing (been cut open enough in the last couple of years) and have great feeling in my feet, so am going to continue while I can.
My first consultant told me to never cut my toe nails again, it was four weeks post diagnose, she didn't explain why and I thought she was a bit crazy!Unless you've got poor circulation or can't even see your feet 🙄 then I can't see a problem wandering on the beach and into the sea barefoot. When I went to see the nurse once to have my foot check she said who cuts your toenails? I thought what!?!?! Who did she think cut them? Yeah I just ring a bell and call one of my servants to do it. 🙄 Of course told her I cut 'em myself.
I got married in the Seychelles. The sea was hot & the sand was too hot to walk on. The sea was like bath water temp. In heaven, tis good at times 😉I love walking barefoot too, nothing better than feeling the dew on the grass in the morning or sand under my feet on the way to the sea.
