Suggest you write down where you'd like to be. Then choose a nutritious diet to get you there and maintain it.
Working everything out about your diet out for yourself is ideal. Don't know where you are on that @lyndi. I found it helpful to have a proven ready-made plan as a starting point (Newcastle Diet, Ian Marber's Man Food).

In case you are still wondering what's best, you may find Zoe Harcombe's What should we eat? (https://www.zoeharcombe.com/2021/08/what-should-we-eat/) and Dr David Unwin's diet sheet ( https://phcuk.org/wp-content/uploads/A_5_page_low_carb_diet_leaflet_Unwin_2021-converted.pdf} helpful for weight loss and maintenance. That's what I do now pretty much as Freshwell describe (https://lowcarbfreshwell.com/going-low-carb/time-restricted-eating/)

Getting HbA1c down to 42 is one thing, but the real reason for losing weight is to get your body, notably your liver and pancreas back to normal. Probably better to aim for the 30's.

Thank you so much I will, it's really nice not to feel alone 🙂

Stumbled on this today. Dr Nichola Guess, programme manager of the NewDawn project, posted it on her instagram account. In his studies also supported by Diabetes UK, Professor Roy Taylor and his Newcastle Univ. team found beta cell function was down by 50% before the onset of diabetes. Better to take pre-emptive action first.
