Hello everyone.
Not been on here for a while, but I had a couple of questions to ask. Got a bit distracted, though -- I'd forgotten what a mine of information these message boards can be! Brilliant!
So my first question is related to illness; this week I got sinusitis after an unusually bad cough/cold. During the first few days of the illness, I pretended like it wasn't happening and did nothing about my rising blood glucose levels. After a while, I increased my basal rate and insulin-to-carb ratios, and my control got much better. But I'm wondering if all that sugary blood encouraged the secondary infection?
Any ideas peeps?
