Hiya can I ask or am i being thick what is lobby? lobster?

hahaha never thought before I posted, lobby is a staffordshire thing haha (where i live).

Its just meat a load of veg and potato. Chuck in a pan and cooked on low. Bit like a chunky soup but really nice. I made mine with diced beef, leeks, potato, onion, swede, turnips or watever you want. couple of oxo cudes and cornflower to thicken if needed and then cook on low for an hour and half or so. Its lovely

Sounds lovely! We used to call it either 'stew' or 'scouse'! I used to live up North near Liverpool! Very wholesome food and healthy too.🙂Bev

A stew is British and a casserole is French?

I often make soups and stews as they make the ingredients go further and they freeze well. Some things can be expensive when you're cooking for one, roasts for instance. So, if I want a roast (usually chicken) I'll do one, then pick the meat off the carcass and use it for a curry while using the bones to make stock for soup.`
