Well I've had a bit of a day of it today, had to eat a shed load of carb just to keep my blood sugar above the drain, and I mean a shed load, culminating in a starbucks chocolate and cherry muffin, and it's just gone up to 6.6 finally. All day I've been peaking at 4.5 and then going back down despite eating toast, biscuits, jelly babies, chocolate truffles etc, I don't quite know how I stuffed that there muffin in I was starting to feel quite sick. I suspect it can't all be because I missed lunch yesterday, since I've been having a few slides in blood sugar at around 5ish over the last few weeks. I wasn't sure if it was my lunchtime ratio or the evil Lantus but given that since yesterday from around three I've been battling to keep the blood sugar above four it's most probably the Lantus. I was hoping to avoid Lantus fiddling till after the festivities but I think he needs a dial down tomorrow. Bah, hate drain days especially when I haven't had any sleep
