I wrote this for my husband who was waiting to hear about his application for early retirement from teaching. He had been type 1 diabetic since he was 28 and gradually the hypos became more frequent and severe. 2 years ago we purchased a Medtronic continuous blood glucose monitoring system. This has proved invaluable in helping to detect low sugars. Unfortunately the sensors are expensive and are not on the NHS. Does anyone else use this and/ or does anyone know how to apply for funding?
