How much coffee is to much?

I think the government will make any coffee enforcement vehicle exempt from these zones!

I remember my Dad buying those years. Used to be a shop in Coventry that sold them. Long gone now.
 
I used to drink a lot of coffee, always started with a couple of cups of cafetiere in the morning.

I then came across reaction-test research that showed high caffeine consumption was associated with low energy (unless you maintained caffeine input). So essentially you ‘need’ coffee to get back to feeling as awake / energised as you would have been without it, but generally feel more tired.

I cut caffeine entirely for a few years. (banging headache for a fortnight). Then gradually relented (initially with ‘proper tea’ and good coffee is lovely after all).

I’m now on generally 1 instant, 0.5 proper (on average), and a cup of tea or two a day.

So I’m probably inside @Inka ‘s source’s recommendation most days. But a bit over on others.

Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to afford the petrol that a MB 600 Pullman would use - and it would be impossible to park, not to mention the mindboggling maintenance costs 🙄

As mentioned previously, I don’t drink coffee but a few years ago I decided to “save” caffeine for when I really needed it. Apart from a daily cup of weak tea (I drink it black so the tannine is too bitter if left to brew too long), I only have caffeine as a cola when I am really tired and need to stay awake. And if I drink one after 5pm, I am still awake at 2am. Colleagues in USA must think I drink it all the time but that’s because it gets me through jet lag. But UK colleagues find it strange to see me drinking the brown fizzy stuff.

Reminds me of the car Diana Dors used to drive. When I was a kid, one of our neighbours would service her car. I think it was probably a Roller rather than a Merc. But it was that kind of shape and the registration was “007”.

That's interesting! I can't find a mention of the number plate - but apparently she was the youngest owner of a Rolls Royce in the world when she bought one at the age of 20.

The Mercedes 600 was used more by dictators than 'youngsters' - although two of The Beatles owned one. Older British people who could have afforded a 600 preferred the more traditional luxury of Rolls Royce - and would probably have avoided buying a German car at that time anyway. Hence, it developed a rather sinister aura, unlike equivalent Rolls Royces.

You don't need to park it, that's what the official chauffeur is there for (well that, and throwing those who drink the wrong coffee into the boot! 😉)
 
But it'll be state sanctioned - I assume that quite shortly after the new world order comes in the coffee enforcement officers and their vehicles will have their own dedicated lanes on the motorways in order to get those, like myself, who require tastebud re-education to the camps more quickly :D :D
