How many blueberries can I eat for breakfast?

Always 40g for me with porridge. That's about 4g of carbs. More like 20 or so. Although there has now been a record breaking blueberry grown in Australia, I believe.

Blueberries are defined in some journals as "super foods". Certainly if ping-pong ball size that could confirm a "super" attribute. Would play havoc with the more expensive ping-pong bats.

World record breaking blueberry weighed 20.4g. That's about 10 times the average weight.

Confirms my havoc thought; best not to freeze them first.

Good grief @helli those are HUGE!

Reminds me of my dad's half inch blackcurrants grown on our allotment - the blackcurrant canes were at the 'road' end of the plot and the committee decided this year's lorry load of manure would be delivered to that very position. (They ordered and paid for a lorry-load and sold it to the plot holders by the barrowful)

Oooh I’ve just posted a question on blueberries and insulin resistance improvement. I have 40g on my porridge in the morning.

I always have 40g of blueberries and 30g of porridge made with water. I now add a teaspoon of mascarpone. How decadent!

Possibly, or just once weigh a handful (or any other quick and simple measure such as a small cup) to give yourself a sense of how many carbs in a handful and then use that as your "standard". The variation from this day to day will be miniscule and irrelevant. After all we don't really know how accurate the %gms of carbs in blueberries is in relation to what species of blueberry, or how ripe.
