As far as i know, Diabetics are and are not included. They are to a point, but only if they have other problems like kidney, liver, lungs etc or whether or not there diabetes is out of control and really bad. So for me, chances are, i wont get the stay away from work letter. That being said, if this virus happened when i was diagnosed, then yes, i would get it as the doctors/nurses etc said my condition was extremely bad. I happened to be off for a month from work and was supposed to still be off after it, but decided to go back to work and give it a go.
You will only be away from work if you have more problems to which, stress, depression and mental illness isn't included. The only problem i have is getting food. I can't seem to do an online order now and the shop i work in as well as many others have been ripped apart by the panic buyers. Online seems to be for those who have to isolate. Me not being a driver, i will only be able to carry what i can, specially as i have no one to rely on to help.
When it comes to the virus in general, diabetics will be like anyone else, easy to catch, however, its when we have it that makes us worse off. Someone who isn't diabetic might recover quicker and better without any problems. Those who are diabetic most certainly have a hard time fighting it and will have other problems in the long run. That being said, if a 21year old who has no health problems caught the virus and died, then sadly, anyone else can, ill or not.
