Last hospital appointment tomorrow, hopefully will get half pen not holding out much hope
Why not holding out much hope? It’s a straightforward prescription request that either GP or hospital should be able to writeLast hospital appointment tomorrow, hopefully will get half pen not holding out much hope
They did say at one off my appointments, u can’t take half units. Didn’t know pens with half units existed till came on here, but will certainly be askingWhy not holding out much hope? It’s a straightforward prescription request that either GP or hospital should be able to write
Thank you I will. Think every few weeks things change, at the moment not needing as much insulin compared to the beginningDefo push for the 1/2 unit pens (and yes, ask for a spare) - they are very useful particularly when recently diagnosed and still tinkering with your dosages/ratios
Good luck with it, my insulin needs changes from day to day, meal to meal, having just come through the infamous "Honeymoon Period" (I have more than doubled my insulin Total Daily Dose in the past 6 months for example) - I was able to do this safely and gradually as required by using a 1/2 unit penThank you I will. Not sure if I’m in honeymoon period, how do you know, hospital never went into it muchGood luck with it, my insulin needs changes from day to day, meal to meal, having just come through the infamous "Honeymoon Period" (I have more than doubled my insulin Total Daily Dose in the past 6 months for example) - I was able to do this safely and gradually as required by using a 1/2 unit pen
Interesting - have you been able to get one recently? I have a very old one which I still use but it’s getting glitchy - was told they don’t manufacture them anymore!Defo push for the 1/2 unit pens (and yes, ask for a spare) - they are very useful particularly when recently diagnosed and still tinkering with your dosages/ratios
Lyumjev, I'm assuming? The cost of the Novopens is minimal as they last for yearsAhh I use a Lilly insulin for bolus which isn’t compatible with novopen - that’s a shame.
But great info for the forum, thanks a lot
But sadly, NovoPens cannot be used for Lily insulin.Lyumjev, I'm assuming? The cost of the Novopens is minimal as they last for years
