That actually looks quite nice Ralph - colourful, various different flavours & textures, all 3 food groups very evident and appears to promise a lunch to enjoy.

Was the tomato(?) soup OK - or too sweet?

i wouldn't say no to that

much better than what I got when I was admitted and diagnosed, breakfast - porridge with sugar and a white roll with butter and jam, dinner - some god awful funny coloured soup and a pre packed sandwich on white bread
xx

Pasta and bread for a type two diabetic? The mind boggles...

If I had that now I would be looking at a BG close to 20!

Breakfast in all the hospitals is always ceriel, white bread/toast with jam.

Same here Kayla. Dreadful food that time. And they were actually giving me apple pie, cake & custard, and treacle sponge 🙂confused:😱) and custard that time.

It was ok. And appears to be not tinned, certainly not the watery tinned tomato soup.

That looked ok...I'd have left the pasta but tried the rest.

My local hospital always seem to have a steamed pudding of some description with custard daily on their menu too 😱

I left a lot of pasta. I could have had a triful after tea. Rest of tea didn't go quite as well as the other meals.

I spent 3 days in hospital last month and had 2 cream crackers the whole time I was in there. They did serve a lunch that looked and smelt like a plate of D&V I declined the kind offer.

Looks ok Ralph although as a TI we can Bolus for the pasta.

Chicken casarol.

Yes. Still a lot better than some food I've had. Though there's not much to it. Breakfast was the usual ceriel and bread & jam (the old tatty hospital can do toast).
Last night I didn't get anything.

I see no chips - looks like grated cheese!🙂

Nothing grated to be seen in the picture Ralph posted??

Diced spud - which does look like they've been fried!

No, not the chicken, spud and cauli, no pasta in that one. The original post picture with salad and pasta - and grated cheese rather than very thin fries?

Good God - that was last November!!

I was replying to Matchless' post of yesterday re pasta and chips.
