I think you are taking the word “need” too literally.Sounds like a break from cgm to get over this would help. Those of us who have had diabetes for a while had to manage without cgms before they were invented. You don’t *need* a constant cgm.
This is not about hypo awareness but anxiety which is complex and individual. Deliberately causing anxiety by taking away the thing that gives “comfort” would not necessarily help Louise to “get over it” although it may help others.
